MA MD FRCS
(Tr. & Orth.)
Nick London is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in surgery
of the knee.
Following graduation from Cambridge University in 1989 he returned
to his native Leeds to commence surgical training. He completed 2
years of surgical research culminating in an MD higher degree.
A 6 year orthopaedic training programme based in Yorkshire was enhanced
by a one year knee fellowship with a leading knee surgery clinic in
Australia. This wide experience of knee conditions and surgical techniques
has enabled Mr London to specialise in knee surgery.
He was appointed Consultant in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery at Harrogate
District Hospital in 2000 and maintains a busy and active NHS practice.
Since his appointment he has been involved in the advancement of minimally
invasive (MIS) techniques for knee replacement surgery and frequently
hosts visiting Consultants interested in learning these procedures.
A knee fellowship programme under his supervision commenced in 2003,
with senior trainees having the opportunity to study knee surgery
and be involved in ongoing research studies into ACL (knee ligament)
reconstruction and MIS knee replacement.
Mr. London specialises in all aspects of knee surgery from reconstruction
following sports injuries or trauma, to treatments for arthritis including
chondral surgery, uni-compartment and total knee replacement. |
